California, cousins, colors, Carlsbad, Chuck E. Cheese, chalk... the list goes on and on ! We are so fortunate to live in a place that 45 minutes in any direction puts us in a whole new adventure-land. And boy did we take advantage in April !
We headed south to Coronado and took on the breathtaking white sand beach in front of the Hotel Del Coronado. We strolled through the neighborhoods of what can only be described as dream homes and took in every photo op from street murals to historic buildings. Coronado is truly what dreams are made of and only a short drive over the bridge with incredible views or for the adventurous ones a ferry ride across the bay !
Every other Wednesday (free with admission) Birch offers a Toddler Time class at 10 am. The host changes every time, which means the activities are always new !!
This was our first time going and I was surprised at how many famalies came out to play ! The activities were so engaging for the kiddos and kid-safe, thank goodness, because there may have been a scoop of paint directly into the mouth incident ...
I am surprised to hear myself say that I think my favorite activity this month so far in our exploration of all things “C” has been coloring Easter Eggs !
Nothing was spilled (or thrown at me) which I’d count as a success any day of the week. And girlfriend loooooveeddd the exploration of the dying process. Plus, who can complain about some uninterrupted family time with their mini min ?
It’s hard to believe that Friday marked one year since our beautiful girl came home. During the millions of hours I had to think while I held her in the NICU and awaited her arrival home, I started making plans. Big plans, small plans, plans I instantly forgot about and ones I just knew I had to follow through on. Love Lesson Clothing and a little something I like to call An Adventure Through the Alphabet were among those “Just Had To” plans.
